Cost

Our herbal medicines are good value for money. They are very strong, using fresh plants in which the active constituents have not degraded. Like with everything, cheap herbs are often cheaper because of their poor quality. We work with our suppliers to ensure you are receiving the freshest and most vital herbs - often from the latest harvest.

Herb teas are generally least expensive. We charge a standard £8.50 for 100g of organic tea (approximately a month's supply), although many of our most popular dried herbs like rosehips and linseeds are less, and you can purchase as little as 25g at £2.50.

Herb tinctures and capsules are more expensive as they have to be prepared to a very high standard, however they are convenient and easy to use, and are the most popular way of taking herbs. A typical monthly prescription of tinctures costs £40-50, that's around £10 per week.

Our aim is to help you back to health, so that you will be able to stop the herbal medicines at some point.

The first appointment needs to look at your complete past medical history as well as making an assessment of the function of each of the systems of your body, we also make an assessment of your 'constitution' or 'tendencies', and may need to take your blood pressure, look at your tongue or listen to your chest, for example. This consultation takes up to an hour and we charge £54.00 for this.

Once you are 'on our books' in this way we can see you for only £30.00 for follow-up consultations as necessary. These may be for the purpose of checking up on your progress and ironing out any problems along the way, or, in the event you return for treatment in the future, perhaps for a completely different ailment, we will simply charge you a follow-up fee, even if we spend a little longer with you. We may also be able to advise you free of charge about minor ailments, because we have a medical history for you.
